Awen Hair Skin and Body has been established since 2010, originally trading as Awen Hair Design. Over the years Awen has evolved and now offer Beauty services too, providing a complete “One Stop Shop” for total convenience for our clients.

Always learning and growing to stay on top of the latest trends and offering the very best in products Awen Hair Skin and Body pride themselves on their quality of work because of the tools, education and high standards they provide to you.
​
Awen Hair Skin and Body are also an environmentally conscious salon. We recycle up to 95% of our salon waste by utilising the services of Sustainable Salons Australia, who remove our chemical waste, recycle our metal, plastic, cardboard and equipment that does not work anymore. They even collect all our hair clippings and create Hair Booms with it all to soak up any oil spills that threaten our waterways. Oh! and not to forget all our donations of Ponytails are collected by SSA and provided for making wigs for children suffering from Alopecia or Cancer.

Davines is our go to colour company because they also are majorly environmentally aware and have reduced their carbon footprint, use only recycled packaging and are a fully self efficient village in Italy. PURE is our main retail range, who also now are packaged in 100% recycled plastics from Australian Landfill, making them the first company in Australia to do so. They are 100% Vegan friendly, made with natural ingredients, essential oils and are Australian Made.

Our Skincare range is provided by Organic Spa. Once again 100% Australian Made in Byron Bay. Organic Spa are made from Certified Organic ingredients, with very strict processing protocols. All packaging is recyclable. Such a luscious skincare range for all skin types.

Oh! P.S. if you were wondering what does Awen mean? It is a word that is Gaelic (Welsh) and goes back to the time of Druids and Bards and it means Poetic (Creative) Inspiration. Michelle is fascinated with Celtic Mythology and came across the word and its meaning years ago while reading and felt it was very fitting for her salon. Inspiration.
